At North Texas Allergy & Asthma Center, our physicians continue to update our policies regarding COVID-19 based on the latest information available. At this time, we are remaining open. However, we strongly urge you to follow the CDC guidelines when it comes to travel, illness, and “social distancing”.
To achieve this goal, we are offering telemedicine visits through a telemedicine platform that will enable you to continue to receive your allergy, asthma and immunology care while you are at home.
A telemedicine visit is a HIPAA-compliant audio and video doctor’s visit that uses your health insurance as if it was a face-to-face exam. Thus, your office copay will be taken at the beginning of the visit and the visit will be submitted to your health insurance company exactly as if you were physically in our office.
Telemedicine is approved by the Texas Department of Insurance, the Texas Medical Association and most major commercial insurance companies, as well as Medicare, although benefits vary depending on the individual policy. Any services not reimbursed or covered by your health plan are the patient’s responsibility just like in-person visits.
You can depend on us to help you take care of your health and well-being, especially during turbulent times. We have no higher priority than the safety of our patients, staff, families and visitors. From everyone at North Texas Allergy & Asthma Center, we hope you, your family, and friends are staying safe and healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak.
If you would like a new patient or follow-up telemedicine visit, please print and fill out the Telemedicine Consent and the New Patient Forms if applicable, sign and email the forms to us at info@northtexasallergy.com. Then schedule your telemedicine visit by calling our office at 940-382-4142 and speaking to our staff as usual, just let us know when you call that you are interested in this virtual telemedicine option. If you have a question about an upcoming appointment call us.
Sincerely,
Samuel Foster MD, Roshni Foster MD, PhD, Shikha Mane MD and B.A. Badie MD
